Top Spiderman Pizza Method: ‘Spider-Man: Home Coming’ will be in theater in a few days (yes, China mainland has this movie scheduled to release on Sep. 8th)
According to the trailer, Iron Man, my favorite one, will also be in there.
So I decided to go and watch this movie.
I was in a car in a open air theater last time when I was watching the last Spider-Man movie.
I was having Pizza with my film.
and it left me a very good impression.
Spidy was also a pizza delivery man right?
So I decided to make a Spider-Man themed pizza.
I want you to be better.
Today I will again use the simple yet effective refrigerated fermentation method.
My yeast comes in as 1 tsp per package, and I need about 1/4 of it.
Then add it to the flour.
Then add it to the mixing bow.
Add olive oil.
And add some sea salt.
mixing the mixture by hand first.
Then place it under the machine.
Top Spiderman Pizza Method
It is more convenient kneading the dough with a machine, but you can also use your hand.
Pizza dough does not have to be as soft and moist as a toast dough.
It does not have to be kneaded as hard.
Use the kneading machine for about 8 to 10 min.
Scratch off the the side of the bowl from time to time while you are kneading.
While finishing, you should see there are nothing sticking on to the side of the bowl, and there are no residue on the side either.
the entire dough is smooth and soft.
but it is not necessary for it to form any membrane.
Now let’s roll the dough into a ball.
Now get a big bowl and put some olive oil in there.
Place the dough inside the bowl.
Stick all sides of the dough with olive oil.
This prevents it from forming hard shells on the dough’s surface.
Then cover the bowl with a piece of plastic wrap.
method 1: refrigerate 24 hours.
method 2: Fermenting under room temperature for 1 hour then refrigerate for 12 hours.
Now we make a self-made Pizza sauce.
Use boil water to burn the surface of the tomato. This helps to peel the tomato.
Please use the best quality and fully grown tomato you can find for this.
If you can’t get the one with the most desirable quality, you can use canned tomato as well.
Peel the tomato and dice it.
Dice the onion into small pieces.
Then put olive oil into the pot.
Sauté the onions in the olive oil.
then add salt to help soften the onion.
Crush the garlic into mashed garlic, and put into the pot.
Put the tomato in once the onion is almost fired to transparent.
I added more canned tomato pesto to enhance the flavor.
You can also use concentrated tomato paste for this.
Now let’s add in a pinch of dried oregano, a pinch of dried basil, and a bay leaf,and a bit of black pepper.
Put on the lid then cook on low for 15 to 20 min.
You may add water during this if you think the sauce is too thick.
Fish out the bay leaf.
You may also add smoked paprika if you have any in your house.it will taste better.
Normally cooked pizza sauce can be used directly.
but for appearance sake, I will put it in a blender to blend it into a paste.
Before assembling the pizza, we need to preheat the oven. Preheat oven to 200-220 degree Celsius (about 392F to 428F) .
You must preheat the baking tray with the oven.
Now it is time for the pizza crust.
Get a large piece of baking sheet and spread some dry flour on there.
Now lets take the dough from the fridge which I placed yesterday. It is already 2-3 times larger than its original size.
… and for time’s sake, let’s just pretend this is the dough I just put in the fridge a moment ago.
Spread some dry flour on top of the dough.
Then use your finger to flatten down the dough gently.
Next, use finger from one hand and your palm to from the edge(crust) of the pizza.
Then pick up the dough and use your knuckles.
to gently stretch the dough along its sides.
Please be careful not to over stretch the dough as it will leave holes on it.
Stretch it into a circle with the diameter of 25 cm or about 10-inch.
Spread the sauce you made earlier onto the pizza.
The sauce is two serving, so you should be able to make 2 pizza out of it.
Spread as evenly as possible
Then place the pepperoni onto the pizza.
You can get pepperoni in almost all grocery store.
Since this pizza is homemade I am going to place ALL the pepperoni on there,Now it’s time to be creative!
First, slice the cheese into thin strips. and place the strips of cheese on to the pizza in a web pattern.
Yep, this is the Spider-Man themed pizza after all.
Place the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sliced cheese.
Because more cheese equal to better pizza, am I right?
The triangular-shaped spaces near the middle might be blocked by the melting cheese, so I blocked it with some triangular-shaped pepperoni.
Place MORE cheese strips onto the center ring.
Looks great right? (Yea… for now at least)
Hope it will maintain its shape in the oven. (It will certainly not)
Place the pizza onto the baking tray. Notice the baking tray is actually upside down.
Place into the oven for about 15 min.
During the process, the dough will be puffing and the cheese will melt.
and it will color itself. Looks delicious right?
However you cannot see the pattern after it is baked.
This creation has failed anyway, so let’s just put on some fresh basil leaves as the final decoration.
Then add a couple of drops of olive oil
Then sprinkle some black pepper on top. Finally you can eat!
Anyway, this episode tells us you can’t force your self to join the trend.
Making delicious foods are far more important to me.
Despite the fact that the creation has failed visually, the pizza itself is still very tasty, and that is the end goal here.
You can’t always get what you want.
There are always setbacks waiting ahead.
